Bernhard Ortlieb is an interior architect and product designer born in southern Germany. His creative roots lie in sculpture; thinking in volume, proportion and materiality forms the foundation of his work. Following formative experiences in fine art, he studied interior architecture and product design at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, graduating with a Diploma in Engineering. In his design approach, he pursues a balance between technical precision and sensuality, shaped by cultural influences and craftsmanship. His designs represent a symbiosis of form and materiality—clearly articulated and reduced to a precise statement. He lives in Hamburg and works with his studio internationally for brands and private clients.
